King's Field: The Ancient City PlayStation 2 Cheats

Easy Level-Up
On the west side of the second floor of the ancient city, you will find an area with six faces shooting flaming arrows to block your path. After clearing the area of baddies, stand to the left (or right side) of one of the faces. Equip a semi-powerful and fast sword that will kill the face in one shot (lethal rapier should work). The faces respawn infinitely, and at 50hp a shot, it doesn't take long.

Weapon Abilities
Quite like the previous King's Field games, some weapons you find along the way have specific special attacks. These attacks can be activated in the same manner that they could be in the previous games as well; by attacking with your weapon and just as it hits the peak of its arc, pressing the Spell button. This will allow certain weapons to spit out some sort of spell in front of it, hopefully damaging the enemy, but does take timing and a little practice, especially with the quicker weapons.

Ancient Equipment
Along the path of the game, you can find a specific genre of equipment, specifically with the pre-text of Ancient. Thusly the equipment goes as such--Ancient Helm, Ancient Plate(or armor), Ancient Greaves, Ancient Gauntlets, Ancient Shield, and Ancient Sword. Any of these pieces of equipment are just as useful as they are harmful by themselves, and wearing just a few of these will quickly make you overweight. However, if the entire genre of equipment is equipped, then the weight mysteriously decreases to about 43 pounds. Trust me in saying that by the time that you have the ability to find all of this equipment, it is definately among the best sets you have. Use it.

A Water Crystal
In the first town you come across, there is a well. As old fans of King's Field would know, most wells end up being fatal, so one generally does not jump down one. However, down this well is a peachy little secret area which leads you to a water crystal that would inhibit your quest to achieve all spell capabilities. This place is highly dangerous for beggining characters, however, so come back when you are a much higher level, and I suggest having the Water Talisman with you; you will be doing a lot of swimming.

Demon Armor Set
Their benefit is minor compared to most sets, the shield casts darkness on you the armor will slowly drain your health, the sacrificial mask will cast random spells in hopes to kill you, and the gloves will drain your health in exchange for power, the boots are the only things that don't hurt you but beware...when equipped the Death Walkers prevent you from running! After completing the snake-like widda location you will find a Widda Bow, the arrows are powerful and hard to find but should not be conserved...by the time you get the bow you are practically near the end of the game...use 'em up.

Save
Save all the time, there are alot of traps out there. Once you die anything found you will lose up to your last save.

Controls
Controls in King's Field are alittle awkward and slow, easy to learn but hard to master. Learn to strafe with the shoulder buttons, this makes it easier to get to the enemies back and attack. Also walking and strafing around corners make it easier to view whats around them, making you have the edge on an ambush, trap, etc.

Ring Of Wisdom
You'll find this in the elemental room in the Treasury. Push the element stones on the wall in this order: earth, water, fire, wind. This ring lets you in the "your not kingly" room.

Celcile Yeala
You'll see this coward sitting in the small cave right in the beginning of the game. He's not much of a man, but he's got a few interesting things to say.

Duhrin Pathwardin
A old man that wants the world to be rid of evil. Not much going on with him, besides the fact he.... you'll see... Items you get from this gentleman: Rusty key; which opens up his house.

Sharyl Genne
Mother to Lynn, she seems kinda anti-social giving you short answsers and such. Give her the rock of life, and don't forget to grab the shield by her bed.

Lynn Genne
A young girl who tries to play with her mopy dog. Her mother is sick and she really wants to help her. You can help her out by giving her mom the rock of life. Whack her dog to be mean. Items you reiceive from her: Fire crystal #1 [fireball]

David Bunch
Catchy tune this guy has. He sells your first wind crystal [wind cutter] and a few other things. Don't buy the mace or helmet bucause you'll find them SOON, this rule applies for most other shop owners.

Chad Breshears
A master thief that really wants a rock of life, go ahead and deliver it and he gives you a crystal vial. The vial is a great item that will be essential to your quest. Fill them up with healing water. You'll find him later on trying to sell you items he gets.

Mista Fopa
This old elf has some signs of Alzheimers Disease. He's a dreamer wanting for the laughter of the childen to be heard. He cares about the young folk. The item you can get from him is the release rock.

Marcus Zan
This rude dude you find in the mine near the decomposed man with the poison stool growing out of him (cool site!). This guy doesnt have much to say and thankfully he dies later on.

Lee Maynor
An expedition soldier wanting to die... I say go ahead and do it. If you don't, after a while he'll become a zombie and you'll have to kill him anyways. You get a cresent moon key from him, opening up the huge spiders lair.

Ramirez Martin
A plump soldier that was attacked by his own men after they were zombified by those bugs. He hid in a large room near exploding barrels for defence (my opinion) i guess he would blow them up. He'll give you a bow when you save him. This guy has arrows for sale, it wouldn't hurt to buy a few. At least 10.

Aeaine Vigil
This lady sits by her(?) healing fountain, thinking about the right or wrong doing of the king. She owns the forest golem standing next to the huge door. Retreieve the forest dew from the caves in that area and feed the golem. Don't worry about him attacking you.

Paul Hutchison
Tom Hanks got castawayed again... fill up a vial with poison where you first met Mista and give it to him to kill the fish men. He'll give you the fortune bracelet.

Oagh Barleigh
He sits in a small room with Myu's necklace, he's afraid of the widdas, those snake men. Throw him down an egg and he'll give you a chance to trade with him. His currency is bones, scales and claws.

Jamarc Neely
He's a traveling merchant who got lost. He's lying... He wouldn't be sitting in one place if he was. Buy the yellow wand off of him, earth stones, and the crystal vial.

Others
There are about 10 other characters about the land of the ancient city, they don't do too much other then just say things to get you in the mood (of the game silly).

Repair
Once you save the drawven blacksmith, Hamurah Forgefist, repair any and all equipment. Having armors and weapons in good shape will do very well in battle, making a better chance of survival in your battles.

Examine
Examine everything, walls, floors, dead people, barrels, etc. There are alot of items out there. Look everywhere you can, even ceilings!

Talk
Talk to everyone, and keep going back to talk to them. They might have some information about certian areas and items. Don't kill anyone either, besides for Lee Maynor

Ancient Sword Hidden Weapon
After aquiring all magic crystals, make your way to the Ancient city's main tower...all the way at the top is a wall covered with tiny flames representing all the crystals you have gotten...open the doors that the flames burn on.

Earthquake Hammer Hidden Weapon
Right after you fight the dark wizard, a door (Previously locked by the wizard's magic) will now be accessible. Past the demented puppets and a door ahead there will be a hallway off to the right, the first door on the left in this hall is the doorway to an empty room (That's what I thought...) Find the very small hole on the north wall and equip "Lord Myu's Amulet. You will see a green panel in the ceiling. Shoot a bolt or arrow into the hole and climb up the staircase that lowered. Earthquake awaits, a powerful 2 hand hammer that causes slowness.

Generic Hint
When you reach fist level 3 you'll be able to use fist magic, and some weapons including darkwood club, windslasher, venom blade, etc. can use "fist" magic as well. It will throw a razor like slash.

Don't Impulse Buy
Only get herbs, shrooms, arrows, etc. Usually you'll find the weapons or armors (besides the crystal armor set)soon after you meet these shop keepers. However, do buy what you think are the rare items, magic crystals, vials, wands, etc.

Short On Mushrooms?
There is a small cliff near the lighthouse in the Widda area, five mushrooms grow here every ten minutes...you have to shoot them down with arrows.

Nullification
The "Scorpion Blade" is one powerful F*&%er, equip the spider amulet or the antidotes in your hotslot and nullify the poison status it inflicts on you.

Multiplayer Tip
When you die, right before you die, throw a grenade, your timing has to be right. You drop the grenade as you die and it will sit there on your body. Five seconds later, when your killer gets ammo from you, he blows up. A nifty trick to get back at the guy who shot you when they search you for ammo.

Reload
Some weapons with a long reload animation can be reloaded faster if the cycle weapon button is pressed right after the reload button. This cuts the animation to the next weapon in the queue, reloading the previous weapon and bringing up the next (hopefully loaded) weapon. By running your weapons in an assembly-line manner, you can reload one weapon while bringing another to bear on the enemy.

Quick reload
Press Reload, switch the gun, then immediately switch back to your original weapon.

Fast gun switching
While sprinting, release L3 then immediately switch your weapon. The next gun will automatically appear in your hands.

Last shots
It should take about four to seven seconds for a grenade to explode. In that time, shoot like crazy. For easier aim (unless they directly in front of you), zoom by pressing R3.

Easy kills
When in possession of either the Helghast assault rifle or the shotgun, conceal yourself near funnel-points for maximum effect. The shot-spread pattern is enough to inflict mortal damage on dense groups of opponents. Should the survivors retreat; chase them with a hand grenade. You can easily knock out entire "clumps" of opponents using only two actions. When in possession of the sniper rifle, you can take snapshots at "clumps" of enemies. The sniper rifle can eliminate multiple opponents that are "standing-in-line" with a single shot.

Fast gun switching
While sprinting, release the button. As soon as you do that, switch your gun. The next gun will automatically appear in your hands.

Shoot three shells with shotgun
When using the shotgun, it has two modes of fire (regular shoots one shell, alternate shoots two shells). By pressing both fire buttons, you will shoot three shells, which in most cases is more useful. Try using this on groups or stronger enemies.

kill.switch PlayStation 2 Cheats

Successfully complete the game under the normal or hard difficulty setting to unlock an option that will allow you to pick any level in the game.

Grenades
When on any level and there are two enemies talking to each other, throw a grenade (for example at the beginning of the Think Like A Gun level). They will not even look to see what it was because they will be distracted.

How to Get Zhang Fei and Guan Yu 5 Special Moves
During the first battle, the Battle of Xu (on expert level), have Guan Yu defeat Li Dian and then go attack their storehouse, which is located just past the upcoming bridge. You get lots of experiance when you destroy their supplies. After you do that, have Liu Bei lose on purpose to Xiahou Yuan. Repeat this alternating Guan Yu and Zhang Fei back and forth, until you get too strong so you cannot lose, even if you try. (Note: When it is Zhang Fei's turn he defeats Yue Jin.)

Rachet And Clank: Easy Bolts
Use the following trick to get 150,000 Bolts in 45 minutes. Get your helipack on Metropolis, then go to the Gagetron all the way in the beginning. In front of the Gagetron, (aiming towards the big person with the wrench who spins around) jump down and turn around. You should see a tunnel. Go into it for a gold Bolt, and break all of the boxes. In 15 seconds you should have 2,073 bolts. Then, fall down and repeat the steps all over again, except for the helipack.

Train Chase Dirt Bike
At the beginning of the "Train Chase" mission, instead of taking a left to Bond's Porsche, turn right into a small room. Inside, you'll find a dirtbike and a slightly different path through the level.

Dart Gun
When you get the Dart Gun from Q, he says it will knock out your enemies for a few hours. However, it will actually kill them in one hit, just like the Golden Gun. Note that it does not have a long range. Save the gun until you are low on health or are surrounded, it is very useful.

Interview with the cast
Watch the credits and wait for the end (which takes awhile). At the end it seems like the Everything or Nothing introduction with the Mya song starts. Actually when the glass breaks, John Cleese's face appears and that is the interview. If you do not want to watch all of the credits, just press X when it starts to skip through it.

Secret Room
On the last level, right at the start kill the bad guys that come then use a Q- spider. Go behind from where you started and there should be a gap between the boxes, go through the gap and there will be a fence, go right and ther is a gap in the fence go through here and go forward until you can turn right. then go rigt and make your way through the boxes (it's easy)then go right again and go up the stairs at the end of the stairs is a gap go trough there and climb along the boxes then go trough a window and trough the door use your Q-spiders sleeper darts (you can get these by going into bond sense). then use them to kill the bad guy then go to the small door not the big red open one a detonate your Q-spider, you have now unlocked a door. Then when james enters the next room look left and you will see the door then go into the room, turn right and there will be a room with 4 armours 4 batterys and lots of guns.

Faster Credits
After the Naughty Dog staff's names have disappeared off the screen, hold X or Circle. The credits will be shown at a much faster speed.

Faster Zoomer
Hold L1 and R1 to go faster on the Zoomer. This will make it less maneuverable, however.

Secret Ending
Get 100 or more power cells and finish the game to see a secret ending. If you get less than 100 power cells, you wont be able to see it.

Shoot Cannons Farther
The cannons at Misty Island and Sentinel Beach will shoot farther if you hold Square, or Circle and X.

Unlimited Health
Pause the game and press Up, Left, Left, Down, Right, X, and Triangle. Your health will not go below zero.

Very Powerful Attack
While punching, jump and you will do an uppercut. Then do a spin kick or a dive for a very powerful attack.

Easy win on Hang Time challenge
In the mission when you must get a high hang time. In stead of doing it the standard way by using jumps in your buggy, get out of you buggy and use the mass invertor it will get you an automatic gold in total hang time (you may have to use the gun more than once) and single hang time.

Jak 2 PlayStation 2 Cheats

Wild Fire
Heres a really cool move, switch to any of your guns. Then start kicking then shoot.

New Look for Bar
Finish the game, and then return to the saloon to find new decorations inside of it.

See Jak and Daxter Posters
Beat the championship race (class 1 race), and then posters of Jak and Daxter can be seen around the stadium area.

Morph-Gun Ammo
Red - Scatter Gun
Yellow - Blaster Weapon
Blue - Vulcan Fury
Purple - Peace Maker

Massive Explosion
This only works when you are in "Dark Jak" mode. When you are in this mode, press X to jump and hit square while you are in the air. This will make Jak come down head first into the ground, causing a massive explosion destroying everything around him. This works really well when you have a lot of metal-heads or any other creatures attacking you.

Ride Elevator To Palace
In the mission: Ride Elevator to Palace, you will come across a place where there are electric blade like things to dodge. After you have passed them, you will find a bunch of tiles that have sparks coming out of them. It is nearky impossible to get across these. Look down to the left. There are some stairs. Go down them, there will be some poles to swing on and that will get you past those.

Continues Punches
This hint is used to defeat enemys faster. First you need to be in Dark Jak form. Then, just keep pressing the square button. In no time, all your enemies will be gone. This is very useful if you're in a hurry.

Hero Mode Extras
When you get in Hero Mode you will start out with all the weapons and you enemies will be a lot stronger. Hero Mode will also has different secrets.

Ton of Precurser Orbs
When you enter DeadTown use your jet-board to get to the back wall. There you should find a hallway filled with the poisin water. When you go in it you should find a bunch precurser orbs. The end of the hallway should come out at the other side of the wall.

Peacemaker Tricks
When using the peacemaker gun (purple ammo which fire lightning balls) hold R1 to charge gun but not fire. While running, press dash (square) and the gun will whip behind your back, over your shoulder, and down at the ground as you rush foward. The trick itself takes good timing and a bit of practice. If you release R1 at exactly the right time (right after pressing square)the gun will fire straight back. This is good for killing pursuing crimson guards. Other good times to fire include when the gun is halfway between backwards and straight up (hits pursuing cars) or pointing into the ground (hits surrounding enemies). This trick is more effective (and fun) when you have infinite ammo.

Long High Jump
While doing a rolling turbo long jump, right before you land, jump again to get a very high jump.

Easy Orbs
After you have gotten the hoverboard go to any place that has water or the mud zaping stuff or dark eco. You can hover over it.

Defense Vehicle
When you are around to many Krimzon Gaurds with guns, get in the nearest vehicle. They will still shoot at you but the vehicle will protect you from the gun fire like shield. This is useful when you have low health.

See Ratchet and Clank posters
When your going to the city with a long ditch of water coming from the field to the race stadium. There should be a poster of Ratchet and Clank Going Commando near the field.

Infinite Orbs
For any Underground Orb mission, if you grab the Orb at exactly 0:00, you'll get a ''Mission Failed'' and also the 3 Orbs you won. If you choose to try again, you can do this over and over and keep obtaining 3 more Orbs.

Weird Death
While in the Water Slums, send a zoomer under a building. Next, get off the zoomer and try to get on again. If done correctly, you'll go into the water and sink til you die. You'll come back though.

Dark Jak vs Final Boss
After the cutscene before the final battle, hold R1 and you'll transform (or stay as) Dark Jak, regardless of Dark Eco meter.

Guard Announce
Go up to a guard and jump on his head he will try to hit you.You can do this as many times as you want and you wont get caught.





Defeat Baron at palace
This mission directly follows riding up the elevator. You'll get a bird's eye view of the city from here.

Carefully cross the bridge. Look to the left when you get to the electrified section. The next electrified section has a path on the right. Next is rotating cubes with spikes on three of the four sides. Be careful crossing, but you need to be quick as well. Look to the right just after the next cannon for the path. Also be careful for falling platforms. Climb back on top of the pipe. Cross another spike cube and look right for the path past the electrified floor. Work your way forward to the rotating cannons and jump to the platform above them. Use the platforms on the right to climb up. Watch the video. Try to leave and get into a boss fight with the Baron. Chase him through 3 stages. Stage one is weapon fire, stage two is missiles, and stage 3 has fire whirlwinds and Baron charges at you.

After Baron is defeated, follow the passageway to the elevator out of this area.
